Why People Use PixDuplicate's Watermark Tool

Text Watermarks

Type whatever you want, pick a font, set the size and color, and you're done. Good for copyright lines or URLs.

Logo Watermarks

Drop in a PNG logo with a transparent background and it sits right on top of your image. Adjust scale and opacity to taste.

Place It Where You Want

Nine preset positions for corners, edges, and center. Or open the cropper and drag the watermark exactly where you want it.

Watermark a Whole Batch

Apply the same watermark to a folder of images in one go. Keeps your branding consistent across a portfolio.

Nothing Gets Uploaded

Everything runs in your browser. Your images never leave your device—no servers, no cloud.

Works with GIFs

Watermark animated GIFs and WebP files and keep the animation when you export to a compatible format.

How the Watermark Tool Works

Putting your mark on your images—without sending them anywhere

Step 1: Add your images and watermark

Upload the images you want to protect, then set up your watermark. Use text or upload a logo. Supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP (including animated), and BMP up to 50MB each.

Try the example images first if you just want to poke around before uploading anything of your own.

Step 2: Set up your watermark

A few things to decide:

Text: type your watermark, pick a font, size, and color

Logo: upload a PNG or other image and scale it to fit

Appearance: adjust opacity, scale, background, and padding

Position: pick a preset corner or use the cropper for a custom spot

Step 3: Preview and adjust

You'll see it live as you tweak:

Live preview: see the watermark on your image in real time

Drag to reposition if you want it somewhere specific

Resize with the cropper—the box size sets the watermark scale

Changes apply immediately, so you can iterate fast

Step 4: Process and download

Once you're happy with it:

Single or batch: watermark one image or process the whole folder

Export as PNG, JPEG, WebP, or keep animation in GIF/WebP

Or grab everything as a ZIP

Original quality preserved—the watermark goes on as a separate layer

Tip: Set up your watermark once, then use 'Process All' on a folder to apply it everywhere. Saves you from doing them one by one.

Your Images Stay on Your Device

Unlike other online watermarking services, PixDuplicate does all the work locally in your browser. That means:

Your images never leave your device
No uploads, no external processing
No sign-up or personal info needed
Completely free with no hidden costs
No watermarks added to your watermarked images (except yours)
Works offline after the page loads

Cameron Ashby

"The custom positioning with the cropper is what I came for. I shoot weddings and need my logo in the same spot on every gallery image. Batch process handles the whole set in one pass."

Simone Laurent

"I run an Etsy shop and this keeps my product photos from getting scraped. Logos with transparency look clean, not slapped on. No uploads was the thing that made me pick it."

Bennett Cole

"Does the job well but I'd love to save my watermark settings between sessions—I re-enter the same text and font every time. Otherwise solid and fast."

Imani Okafor

"Watermarked about 200 client proofs last week. The opacity slider is perfect for finding that sweet spot where the watermark is visible without ruining the photo. Would use again."

Desmond Reyes

"The GIF support actually works. I add my channel handle to animated clips and most free tools either break the animation or upload everything. This keeps it all local."

Vivienne Hartley

"I create stock photography and this makes prepping previews painless. Text watermark, one font, apply to all. The ZIP download means I'm not clicking through 40 files. Would recommend."

Common Questions

Why would I watermark an image?

To mark it as yours. Deters people from using your work without credit, keeps your branding visible when images get shared, and gives you proof of ownership if there's ever a dispute.

Does it work with animated images?

Yes. GIF and animated WebP files keep their animation when you export to GIF or WebP. The watermark stays put across every frame without affecting playback.

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file and place it anywhere. PNGs with transparent backgrounds look best—the logo just sits on top of your image without a visible box around it.

Text vs. logo watermark—which should I use?

Text works well for copyright lines, URLs, or a name. Logos are better if you have a brand mark or want something more visual. You can use either—or set up one and batch apply it to a folder.

Does watermarking hurt image quality?

No. The watermark goes on as a separate layer and your original image data isn't touched. For JPEG and WebP output, you can adjust quality to balance file size and sharpness.

Can I watermark multiple images at once?

Yes. Upload a batch, set up your watermark once, then hit 'Process All.' Same watermark on every image. Download everything as a ZIP when you're done.

Is my privacy protected?

Yes. Everything runs in your browser. Your images never get uploaded anywhere—not to us, not to anyone. That matters when your work isn't public yet.

What formats can I output?

PNG (lossless, supports transparency), JPEG (smaller files), WebP (modern format), or keep animation in GIF and WebP. Pick based on what you're using the image for.

How do I place the watermark exactly where I want?

Pick one of nine preset positions (corners, edges, center), or open the cropper tool and drag the watermark wherever you need it. The box size you draw sets the watermark's scale.

Can I adjust the watermark transparency?

Yes. The opacity slider goes from fully opaque down to nearly invisible. Most people land somewhere in the middle so it's visible without dominating the image.
